AC Shadows Reveals Surprising Attack on Titan Event for Holiday Season
In a unexpected crossover event that challenges conventional expectations, Ubisoft has unveiled an virtual collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, including complimentary additional story content for Shadows players.
Strange Adventure Disclosed
According to the official statement, "A strange meeting leads heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where whispers of prohibited practices and terrifying changes resonate through the shadows." The storyline introduces a "unusually garbed woman named Ada" who charges the characters with journeying into the Crystalline Cavern—a important location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her ally from a secret cult.
The questline focuses on "strange experiments and a monstrous enemy" and is available to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Iconic Places and Changes
The preview highlights the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This important location was previously where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through generations. The trailer ends with a powerful scene showing a character, presumably the captive, transforming into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Items and Extra Features
Players who finish the quest will acquire an special katana together with multiple items concealed throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also contains purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

- Mikasa attire for Naoe

- Survey Corps mount
Latest Free Story Update
This release also adds the game's third complimentary story content, titled "The Mystery." This lighthearted adventure teams Naoe and Yasuke as they exchange characteristic techniques: Naoe introduces a theatrical variation of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke acquires non-fatal stealth takedowns. True to its name, "A Puzzlement" also contains a original environmental puzzle that may eventually clarify some unresolved questions from the main storyline.
